Washer: round 2

Yep. It leaked again. All over the basement. Thankfully the kitchen throw rugs were waiting to be washed and absorbed a good deal of that water. We called the repairman from last week. He determined that the water level gauge thingy is not working properly. The tub jut keeps filling up and spilling the water all over. He'll need to call in the part and we hope to get it fixed before the week's end. I wonder how long we can go without washing our clothes?

This is great. I mean I really dig spending hundreds of dollars on appliances that do not work. I am so not going to buy GE anything. Well, except that our new house will have GE kitchen stuff, but I'll be dammed if I'll pay for another washer and dryer. We are getting something else, like an elephant or washtub.
