Mashed potatoes cookies bananas gum crackers

I had some neighborhood children over today and before long they became restless with hunger. I asked them "What would you like for a snack?"

The little four year old girl offers her suggestion "I'd like some mashed potatoes. I love mashed potatoes!" as she rubbed her belly. Her three year old brother chanted "Bananas, bananas, bananas! Cookies, cookies, cookies!" My five year old wanted crackers and the seven year old wanted gum.

So what did I get them?

Cookies. We've got plenty of Christmas cookies for all. They each had three. I am that sort of Mom.
