Crumpet?

Me: Would you like jam or butter on your crumpet?

Husband: Jam

I hand him the plate with the warm crumpet smeared with peach jam. I return to feast on my crumpet.

Husband: Oh. It's really a crumpet. I didn't think it was going to be an actual crumpet.

Me, wondering to myself what did he think I was going to give him, silly Mister.
