Gettysburg

 

 

 

We took a trip north to visit Gettsyburg. You can spend all day and more looking around at the battlefield. Then there's the town which has plenty to see also. Our visit was short so we chose to focus on the area around the Soldiers National Monument. This year is the 150th anniversary of the battle which means there is plenty of activity going on in Gettysburg. I think we'll come back another time to take a closer look around. I'm not much for long distance walking these days so after a few miles I was done exploring. I wish I could say we planned our visit to take advantage of the anniversary but we did not. Most of our excursions are chance which makes them so much more fun.
