Pick up in South Bend

Olivia spent a few days at the University of Notre Dame for a girls' soccer camp. She went along with a team mate which made it even more fun. The two of them had a great time together and I imagine got little sleep being roommates and all. Olivia couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had at camp. She also pointed out how much work she had to do. Plenty of walking. She mentioned how much walking you have to do on campus. As in "you have to walk everywhere" and "things are so far away" and "this campus is huge" type of comments. Oh the college life. Including the endless walking she had plenty of training to keep her busy.

We didn't have much time to explore the campus. The drive to South Bend took 4 hours and we had to get back to Ohio before bed time. Our pictures were quick and silly. Olivia was pretty good at jumping in at the last minute. Although I wanted to stop in to see the basilica we just didn't have the time. Last time I visited ND was 15 years ago. It truly is a beautiful campus. One day maybe a daughter will attend but until then I think it's going to be summer soccer camp that will keep bringing us back.
