The California coast

This was the view from our picnic bench as we enjoyed our sandwiches. What a beautiful coastline. After eating our lunch we walked down to the beach. It was surprisingly busy for a cool spring day.

On the beach were hundreds of sand dollars! Never have I been able to find any and here they all were scattered about. We picked up a few to take home. I'm sure there were other shells to find but I was too excited about the sand dollars. We spent about an hour exploring. Our time was cut short by the high tide rolling in. The beach became amazingly smaller before our eyes. We were almost stranded on a wall....that would have been a little tricky to escape.
