Being 6

Our sweet daughter number three turned 6 today. We have been enjoying the last days of summer and this was another long day of being outside. Always able to find something to do she was happy playing outdoors with her friends. I wanted to make her a lovely cake but kept telling myself I'd have a bit more time to work on it. Ahhh life. So it came to pass that all that time I thought I had disappeared so quick that by Friday night I was scrambling to get that cake baked. In the end it turned out just as she wanted with pink frosting and lots of butterflies. Between bites we giggled and laughed as our stories of the day unraveled. With still more sunshine yet to experience our freshly 6 year old girl dashed outside to play. Five was a great year for her and so far 6 is looking pretty great too.
