In the afternoon

We took a snack break on the front porch today. I had lemonade as it was a nice warm day. I put together a bowl of princess yogurt for the little gal. Princess yogurt is simply vanilla yogurt with pink or rainbow sprinkles. There she sat next to me wearing her favorite but very ratty looking pink tutu costume which she accessorized with a pink crown headband and her favorite rainbow bead necklace.  Eating her yogurt she was so genuinely happy. The beauty of small children is breathtaking. They know how to simply enjoy life. What a pleasure it is to witness the beauty of humans from a parent's eye.
