Joshua Tree

Over spring break we hiked around at Joshua Tree National Park. We spent the entire day exploring the National Park. With plenty of rocks to scramble and funky trees to count our day was full of visual wonder. My gals made the scrambling look easy. The rocks were deceptive. After years of being blown with wind their surface is not smooth. It's rough and scratchy making it very easy to skin a knee or elbow. We managed to escape without any serious need for bandages but there were some moments of pause as a scrape was investigated. Joshua Tree has been on our family wish list for years. It was wonderful to finally make it here to see all the beauty in person. Photographers have done well in bringing us the wanderlust but to be here in person. It's something no photograph or video can replace.
