All Souls Day
Dia de los Muertos. Tonight we will have a little All Souls Day feast. This morning our littlest girl participated in the Ghost Chase obstacle course run. Another fantastic tradition her school carries on every year. On Halloween I hung up our Sugar Skull banner and I am wondering if a certain teenage girl might walk off with it. The little sugar skull and the sugar skull necklace were found in Mexico years ago shortly after the Dia de los Muertos celebrations came to an end. I have to mention here that I along with my Mother and law and the two older girls took a drive north to see Todos Santos. The displays and decorations throughout the town were stunning. It was such a beautiful experience to see the pieces of the traditional celebration in person. Although we are not of Mexican nor Central American descent this is absolutely beautiful and meaningful holiday that I love dearly.
