Spring Blooms

 

    This is the time of year where I love to bring in the blooming peonies. They have a way of filling a room full of fragrance that feels like you are out in the garden. Right now one of my plants has been brave enough to bloom. The others are taking their time. Maybe it’s all this extended cool weather keeping spring holding on just a bit longer? The garden is starting to wake up more flowers are making their way up through the dirt reminding me of their presence. It is always in those moments of discovery where I notice a little shoot unfurling its way in the garden to pause and say to myself "Oh, that's where the foxglove is and this is the fern..." that I find to be the best surprises.
