Summer Mornings

 

Early mornings are a must when your children are toddlers. We have been venturing out into the garden early every day exploring all the things that bring fascination to a child. Strawberry season is over for our small berry patch. It was a well loved few weeks of delicious berries. Little DK learned quickly where to find his favorite snack. I loved watching him play about the yard making all the messes you would expect for a little boy….and then he would stop by the berry patch to help himself.

He picks one at a time. Eating that strawberry while sitting on the bottom step to our back door. He gets up selects another and repeats this about 4 times. Slowly taking bites as he watches the birds squawking in the trees. 

Toddlers have such a way of showing us how to savor the sweet gifts in our days.
