Monster Cables Beanie

 Over the weekend I finished a hat using some bulky weight yarn. I used the pattern called Monster Cables Beanie by Cali Taylor. It is a great pattern for a quick hat. 

I can’t remember what I planned to make with this yarn but I think this was a good use of it. I had just enough to complete the hat…played a little yarn chicken and ended up winning. It’s hard to tell but the yarn has a bit of gold shimmer to it which is really fun. I used Lion Brand thick n quick a wool acrylic blend yarn. Great for hats especially for kids as this yarn holds up well to kid use. The bulky weight is great for an instant gratification project. This was also my procrastination project. I have two more Christmas knits in progress. One I can only work on at night out of sight which makes that one a bit more tricky to complete. I would like to have it completed by Christmas but there are some amendments I am making to the pattern that may take me more time to figure out.
